Nine Years of ZSN
This very well may be the final post on Zero Shared Nickels. I just wanted to say a few words and thank the lot of you for your support. Be sure to check out the back catalog of posts over to the right, because there’s a lotta great stuff in there.
Headlines You Never Want To See
After being exposed to the news for so many years, you become pretty indifferent to the sensational headlines in the news. It because so blasé. Yup, another murder. Oh a 100 car pile up, big deal? What’s this? A child was carried away in a balloon and is lost now? Huh, it was a hoax, how pedestrian.
Maybe we should take a look over at some headlines over on Earth-2. I bet we might find a few headlines we would never want to see over here.
ZSN Update 2010
I don’t like that we just abandoned the site, so I am going to say a few things. ZSN will be taking a bit of a break, but there is still over 3 years worth of back posts to keep you entertained! Check out what Tom and I have been up to lately, and the possible future of the site.
The 4th Annual Speedbowl & Pink Sock Awards
2009 has come to an end! An entire decade is over! It’s been an interesting one to say the least! In the last decade alone, we have managed to graduate from high school, complete college, get a real jobs, and date several women (some crazy, some not)! However, tonight isn’t about the last decade, it’s [...]
Surviving This Economy (or How to Spend Without Regard)
Despite being Mr. Big-Shot-Still-Has-A-Job, I just can’t seem to save up any money! It’s like I live over an ancient Native American burial ground and it’s causing money to disappear like sand slips through your fingers. It is not for lack of trying! Basically, my point is, I ain’t got no money. The economy is tough and I know a lot of you guys are in similar situations or are art majors or are in a band, so you don’t have money either. For the good of both myself and you, the loyal and sexy readers, I’m going to present a few tips on how to Survive This Economy.
Bustin’ Makes Me Feel Good
In 1984 the world welcomed two major additions to American comedy. The first would obviously be my birth, which occurred one cool Spring evening. A few months later the world was introduced to Ivan Reitman’s masterpiece, Ghostbusters. This year of our Lord and Savior Jesus Cristo 2009 finds itself to be the 25th Anniversaries of both such occasions. Unlike many, many, many of the posts before this I am not here to write about myself – I am here to discuss the joy of Ghostbusters.
ZSN: Beyond the Sociodome
Today is Wednesday, September 23. On Saturday, August 29 – nearly one month ago – HP and I moved. We left the Sociodome de Brighton behind with a fond wave and headed on to our next adventurous abode, the Sociodom3. If you’ve been following us from the beginning, then you’ll know that things have progressed [...]
Knee Jerker
At the end of July I had traveled across the country to the little city of Bellingham, Washington. It’s about an hour and a half north of Seattle, populated by all sorts of folk, one of which being my bearded friend, Ethan. Ethan had moved out West about 10 months prior and this trip was to act as a reunion for a group of my college friends. We call ourselves, with tongue-in-cheek and a brief chuckle, the Mighty 4. It was a name I made up while trying to add drama and panache to a story I posted on ZSN some time ago. With Travis, Ethan, and Chad by my side, I was guaranteed to get into trouble of all kinds.
That Damn Fishtank
By the time you read this, Tom and I will have moved. That is right; our home base, lovingly dubbed The SocioDome, has changed locations! We have relocated from the city of Brighton to the far away land of… Brighton, but across the street. Alright, it’s not a major move, but it is a major [...]
Shipping Up to Boston
I recently went on vacation on the West Coast. I documented my flight out there in a previous post. Below is my return, where I’m running on two hours of sleep and a “ham” and “cheese” “sandwich” from a stand in the airport. 9:10 am PST – We’re back in the air again, heading back [...]
